Columbia Yukon Commissions Environmental Assessment Program

West Vancouver, British Columbia – July 14 , 2008 – Columbia Yukon Explorations Inc. (the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it is continuing to advance its “Storie” molybdenum property deposit located in northern British Columbia.

The Company has commissioned Dillon Consulting Limited of Richmond, B.C. to commence phase three of ongoing environmental baseline work in support of the preparation of an Environmental Application for submission to the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office. As well, the Environmental Assessment (“EA”) program will be of sufficient detail to meet Canadian Environmental Assessment Act requirements.

The EA program will become an integral component in moving the Storie molybdenum property deposit towards potential production. The EA program includes a range of environmental studies and ongoing liaison with provincial and federal regulators and local First Nations.

About Columbia Yukon Explorations Inc.:

In 2007, Columbia Yukon completed 76 drill holes (23,000 metres of core drilling). The 2007 drilling program was designed to reclassify the NI 43-101 inferred resource of 101.6 million tonnes grading 0.067% Mo to an indicated and/or measured resource. In 2008, the Company intends to complete approximately 30,000 metres of core drilling. The objective of the 2008 drilling program is to test the areas to the north, south and west of the known resource area in an effort to significantly increase the size of the resource.

This news release has been reviewed and approved by John Kowalchuk, P. Geo., who is acting as Qualified Person for the Storie Property Project in accordance with regulations under NI 43-101.
