West Vancouver, British Columbia – February 20, 2008 – Columbia Yukon Explorations Inc. (the “Company” or “Columbia Yukon”) is pleased to announce that as part of its 2008 drill program for its Storie Molybdenum Property, the Company has finalized a drilling contract with DJ Drilling of Aldergrove, British Columbia. Pursuant to the agreement, DJ Drilling has agreed to supply four drill rigs (two drill rigs to commence work by mid May, 2008, weather permitting, and two more drill rigs to be supplied by the beginning of July, 2008).
Columbia Yukon expects to complete a minimum of 40,000 metres (131,233 feet) of core drilling in 2008 on its Storie Molybdenum Property. The Company’s 2008 drilling program is being designed in an effort to significantly expand the currently known and sizeable resource. Additionally, the 2008 exploration program will focus on further resource definition of the recently announced higher grade zone discovery.
This news release has been reviewed and approved by John Kowalchuk, P.Geo., who is acting as the Qualified Person for the Company’s Storie Molybdenum Property project in accordance with regulations under NI 43-101.
